Mefix is a self‑adhesive surgical fixation tape made from a porous, non‑woven polyester fabric with a skin‑friendly acrylic/polyacrylate adhesive backing. It’s designed for secure, comfortable fixation of dressings, tubes, swabs, catheters, cannulas, and similar medical devices on the skin. The tape’s breathable structure allows air and water vapour to pass through, helping to reduce the risk of skin maceration and irritation. Because both the fabric and adhesive are radio‑transparent, the tape does not usually need to be removed before X‑rays. The backing paper is pre‑measured and perforated for easy cutting and application to the desired size and shape.

Directions:

• Clean and dry the skin before applying.
• Cut the tape to the desired length.
• Apply smoothly over the dressing or device, avoiding wrinkles.
• Press gently to ensure good adhesion.
• Replace if tape becomes soiled, wet, or loses adhesion.
