Care Plus Calamine is a medicine traditionally used to relieve itching and soothe minor skin irritations. Calamine, Zinc Oxide What the medicine is for Calamine Lotion is a mild astringent and antiseptic. It relieves the symptoms of mild sunburn and minor skin conditions.
It contains two main ingredients:
Calamine works by cooling and soothing irritated skin.
Zinc oxide is an antiseptic which prevents infections.
It works by its counter-irritant effect. After application to the skin the calamine evaporates, which produces a cooling effect that helps distract you from the itch. This sensation also helps relieve sunburn.

Ingredients

Calamine 15% w/v, zinc oxide 5% w/v, bentonite (E558), sodium citrate, glycerol (E422), phenol and purified water.

Directions

1. Shake the bottle.
2. Apply to the affected skin.
3. Adults, children and the elderly should use cotton wool pads to apply the remedy to the skin.
