Ingredients
CB12 was developed at the University of Oslo’s Faculty of Dentistry. The CB12 Mouthwash Ingredients neutralise specific substances that can cause unpleasant breath, called volatile sulphur compounds (VSCs).
These compounds are unpleasant and odorous that develop as a result of bacteria in the mouth that break down food particles in between the teeth, in the gums and on the back of the tongue.
This neutralising action can only occur due to the CB12 Mouthwash Ingredients. Zinc acetate and chlorhexidine diacetate work together in cooperation to allow CB12 Mouthwash to work as well as it does.
As one of the two main CB12 Mouthwash Ingredients, Chlorhexidine splits sulphur molecules, allowing its friend zinc to more easily react with sulphur compounds. In addition to allowing Zinc to work to its fullest potential, it also has an antibacterial effect against bacterial membranes. This ensures that CB12 adheres to the lining of the mouth, tongue and teeth, maintaining a long-lasting effect. A low amount of Chlorhexidine is included to stop any staining.
The second of the CB12 Mouthwash Ingredients, Zinc, is the most effective form of Zinc in combatting volatile sulphur compounds. Zinc interacts with the split sulphur molecules building insoluble, non-odorous compounds that are spit out with the rinse or swallowed. In addition, it directly interferes with VSC production.
