Feeling uncomfortable? Peptac Liquid Peppermint Flavour 500ml will help to treat heartburn, an upset stomach, nausea and excess gas. Peptac Liquid belongings to the 'reflux suppressants' group of medicines that form a protective layer on top of the stomach contents to prevent stomach acid from escaping from the stomach where it works into the food pipe causing pain and discomfort.
Ingredients:
Active Ingredients: Sodium Bicarbonate (133.5mg/5ml), Sodium Alginate (250mg/5ml), Calcium Carbonate (80mg/5ml).Other Ingredients: Carbomer, Sodium Hydroxide, Saccharin Sodium, Ethyl Parahydroxybenzoate (E214), Propyl Parahydroxybenzoate (E216), Butyl Parahydroxybenzoate, Isopropyl Alcohol, Erythrosine Colour (E127), Purified Water.
Safety Warnings:
- Check and ensure you’re not allergic to any of the ingredients of this medicine before taking it. This medicine contains Butyl Parahydroxybenzoate, which can cause an allergic reaction in some.
- If you’re on a sodium-restricted diet, consult with your doctor or a pharmacist before taking it as 10ml of this medicine contains about 6mmols of sodium.
- Tell your doctor first if you’re taking any other medicines, especially ACE inhibitors, analgesics, antibiotics, antiepileptics, antifungals, antimalarials antipsychotics, bisphosphonates, lithium and penicillamine.
